Little Rock, Arkansas – Pinnacle IT is thrilled to announce the appointment of Teri Westbrook as the new Director of Cloud & Security. A seasoned leader in the IT and cybersecurity sectors, Teri brings over 20 years of experience and a wealth of expertise to her new role. Her journey in technology started in 2004, and she transitioned to a cybersecurity focus over the past decade, combining her passion for IT and security to protect and empower organizations.
Teri’s extensive qualifications include certifications in HIPAA Security Awareness, Risk Management, and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). She is also actively working toward her Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification. Her proactive approach to security, reinforced by a quote from William H. Webster, former Director of the FBI—“Security is always too much until the day it is not enough”—drives her commitment to ensuring that organizations are not just prepared but fortified against emerging threats.
At Pinnacle IT, Teri will be instrumental in growing the firm’s security offerings and leading its cloud initiatives, ensuring seamless, secure transitions for clients while addressing internal processes to strengthen overall operations. “Security is more important than ever as businesses move to the cloud,” Teri said. “It’s my goal to ensure there are no gaps in security while helping our clients grow and evolve.Teri’s leadership extends beyond her professional accomplishments. She is actively involved in the cybersecurity community, serving as President o the Central Arkansas chapter of ISACA, and previously as Vice President. Additionally, she is a SheLeadsTech Ambassador with One In Tech, an ISACA foundation, a member of InfraGard, and has been part of Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) since 2020. Her passion for cybersecurity is matched only by her commitment to giving back to her community and advancing the industry.
Outside of work, Teri enjoys spending time with her two children—her son, 23, and daughter, 12—along with her Great Dane, Mabel, and Golden Doodle, Charlee Anne. A dedicated Arkansas Razorbacks fan, she also loves playing video games, baking, and supporting her kids in their sports activities.
Teri is excited to make her mark at Pinnacle IT, stating, “I make my own path, no matter what. If there’s an obstacle in the way, I either walk around it, jump over it, or blow through it. If it is to be, it is up to me.”
