Guests accepted at the Shelter for one or more evenings will be welcome at the Shelter between the hours of 6:00pm to 7:50 a.m., 365 days a year. We serve breakfast and dinner daily. In addition, Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter has a food pantry open every friday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. We provide non-perishable foods and personal care items. Showers and laundry facilities are also available. We also have a large network of resources which we can draw on as we meet with individuals and families on the brink of homelessness to prevent them from becoming homeless.
During their stay guests are expected to meet with our Resource Specialist to establish a PLAN OF CARE, execute the plan and become independent. During the day guests attend school, work, seek employment and attend important appointments. There are public places such as the local Library to use for internet access and the Social Club is an available daytime respite. Lunch is available locally at the church soup kitchens.
