CUSTOM SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS

Pinnacle IT provides custom programming services and rich applications  to many companies throughout the State of Maine and beyond. Here is just a sampling of some of the companies we have provided services to for a variety of projects using a variety of development tools.

Evergreen Indemnity, Ltd.
                               
Evergreen Indemnity, LTD, associated with International Insurance Services, partnered with Pinnacle to develop a custom database application that supports critical business functions related to insurance for the Campground industry.
 
The ARMS - Associated Risk Management System - that was created has functions including underwriting, accounting, claims management, risk management, and sales. Evergreen selected Pinnacle after a competitive bidding process made it clear that Pinnacle had the expertise to deliver the system which met the complex requirements. The database is configured using client-server architecture and SQL Server as the data repository and processing engine.
 
Enhancements and expansion of the system have been on-going since 1999.
Mid-State Machine Products
Mid-State Machine selected Pinnacle when it needed a Human Resource application to manage its employees' qualifications and training. The needed system manages complex logic which tracks the qualifications for each employee, and reports required training for each employee based on their position.
 
Pinnacle's solution used MS Access, and gives users complete control over creating and managing qualifications, positions and employees. With one click, staff can determine which employees are affected by new revisions to qualifications and assure that employees have the appropriate job training so as to maximize their business process.

Farnsworth Art Museum

                                                  

Pinnacle worked with the world-reknowned Farnsworth Museum in Rockland to develop an interactive online environment.  One of the many interactive learning components is a virtual gallery where museum patrons, students, and art scholars can create and 'hang' their own exhibition, selecting from hundreds of pieces of artwork.

This unique software application is breaking new ground on a national level.
L.L. Bean
In 1997, LL Bean contracted with Pinnacle to develop one of the first .asp intranet sites in the State.
 
Programmed to manage pay increases and bonus plans through each tier of the company, the program was instrumental in the payroll and budget process.
 
When LL Bean required a database to manage data related to the placement of products in its 100+ catalogs, Pinnacle was selected to define, develop and deliver the system.
F.H. Paschen
 
The F.H. Paschen company was working on several large-scale projects involving multiple subcontractors and hundreds of workers.
 
The company needed to track estimated and actual labor production costs throughout the life of the project.
 
When bidding for contracts, the company commits to specified levels of participation by minority and women workers. If the targets are not met, fines are levied against the company. Pinnacle provided the solution by developing a database to track the requirements.

When Wright Express was in need of an internal application to track the performance management of their employees they chose Pinnacle to design and develop a system to use for tracking employee performance reviews.
 
Upon completion of a detailed functional specification, Pinnacle developed the application in ColdFusion with an Oracle database. The web-based application allows the sales force, as well as other employees and managers, to work on their performance reviews outside of the office. A management by objective (MBO) module was also developed.
Enterprise Foundry
Enterprise Foundry is a jobbing foundry which pours both ductile and gray iron castings in all grades and classes to ASTM specifications.
 
When Enterprise Foundry found their legacy system unable to handle their expanding business,  Pinnacle developed a new database which provides their production control department with the ability to track current production and delivery requirements.
