Pinnacle IT is a Maine owned and operated company specializing in customized software development, systems integration, web sites, eCommerce, web applications, programming support, IT staffing, network support and software training.

History - Since 1996

The concept for Pinnacle was unique: bring together an elite team of New England’s most talented programmers and trainers to develop high-caliber customized software to a broad base of clients. Pinnacle was founded in 1996 by current President Pamela Kick. We have experienced steady growth and list many of the region’s top companies in insurance, manufacturing, health care, paper milling, education, financial and others among our clientele.

Focusing on software development and training, Pinnacle built a strong reputation in Maine and beyond as the premier programming shop.

The Merger

In 2009 Pinnacle expanded its operations due in part to Pinnacle's merging with two Bangor based companies owned by Troy Gagnon: Penobscot Technology Solutions and Internet Works. Troy started Penobscot Tech after recognizing the lack of high quality, reliable, consistent technology support services in the Bangor area for small and medium sized companies.  Troy is now Pinnacle's Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for all technology branches.

With the merger Pinnacle is able to broaden its services beyond software development and programming to include Network Support statewide.  

Pinnacle and Penobscot Tech worked closely for over 3 years rounding out the technology services - software and hardware - for a variety of shared clients.  By merging the two companies, Pinnacle is now positioned to provide a full line of technology services to its clients.
